How much does it cost to paint a house in Johannesburg?
Interior painting with two coats is R95 per m². Exterior painting is R105 per m². As project prices, painting a single room starts from R2,500, a 3-bedroom interior from R18,000 and a full exterior from R30,000. These are our list prices for the northern suburbs. We confirm the final price on a free quote.
How much does waterproofing cost?
Torch-on waterproofing for a flat roof is R420 per m². A balcony or parapet is R380 per m². Box gutters are R190 per metre and cracks and joints are R150 per metre. A leak repair and reseal starts from R2,200, a balcony from R9,000, a flat-roof section from R9,500 and a full flat roof from R42,000.
How much does gutter cleaning cost?
Gutter cleaning starts from R950 for a single-storey house and from R1,600 for a double storey. Or it is from R35 per metre. Flushing a downpipe is R150 each. If you have your gutters cleaned twice a year, you get 15% off.
How much do handyman jobs cost?
Each job on our list has a price. For example, mounting a TV up to 55 inch is R850, a leaky tap is R550, a blocked drain is R750 and a gate motor battery swap is R900. The full list is in the instant price tool.
What does a renovation cost?
Every renovation is quoted for the job. Send us a request with a description and we will quote.
Quotes and booking
How does getting a quote work?
Send your request with the job, your suburb and when you want it done. If you are in one of our suburbs, you see a starting price on your screen straight away. We then confirm the final price on a free quote.
Is the starting price the final price?
No. The starting price comes from our price list and your own estimate of the job size. We confirm the final price on the quote. Once you accept the quote, the price is fixed for the work on it.
How long is a quote valid?
14 days. We keep it to 14 days because supplier prices change often.
How soon can you start?
Jobs are booked within 7 days. After you accept your quote, we contact you to agree a date.
Do you do urgent jobs, like a leak?
Tick "This is urgent" on the request form, or WhatsApp us on 081 372 4079. Urgent requests are marked as urgent when they reach us.
What if more work comes up after the quote?
Work that is not on your quote gets its own quote first. We do not add it to the price without your yes.
Payment and guarantees
How do I pay?
We take a 50% deposit before work starts and the balance when the job is done.
What guarantee do you give?
Every job carries our workmanship guarantee. Waterproofing also carries a 5-year warranty.
Will I see the finished work?
Yes. Every job ends with a photo report of the completed work.

Which suburbs do you work in?
The northern suburbs of Johannesburg. These are Bryanston, Sandton, Fourways, Randburg, Midrand and Rosebank, plus Sunninghill, Woodmead, Lonehill, Douglasdale, Morningside, Rivonia, Northcliff, Craighall, Parkhurst, Hyde Park, Dainfern and Midstream Estate.
What if my suburb is not on the list?
You can still send a request and choose Other Gauteng suburb. Our list prices are for the northern suburbs, so for other areas we confirm the price for your area.

Peter Maseko owns and runs Oaks.
What happens to my details when I send a request?
We use your name, phone number, email (if you give one), suburb, map pin (if you place one) and job details to quote for your job. We may share them with the contractor who does the work. We keep your request and quotes for 24 months and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.
